Fred Mitchell Award October Recognizees, part 1

The Fred Mitchell Award recognized 42 place-kickers for their excellence on the football field and in the community during the month of October. The breakdown of the kickers is as follows:
  • Collegiate Division – 13 FCS, 13 Division II, 10 Division III and 6 NAIA
  • State – the place-kickers play at schools located in 27 different states, led by Pennsylvania schools with 8 place-kickers
  • Year – 21 Seniors, 7 Juniors, 9 Sophomores, 5 Freshmen
  • Included on the Preseason Watch List for the 2010 Fred Mitchell Award - 18

TYLER ALMEID, University of Mount Union (Ohio) – Division III
Sophomore from Elyria, OH….2nd on team in scoring with 67 points from 9 of 12 FG’s and 40 of 41 PAT’s….has made 25 straight PAT’s for the #2 ranked Purple Raiders….has had a season-high 6 PAT’s in three games this season…scored 8 points in 38-0 win over Capital on October 23….scored 9 points in 45-7 win over Heidelberg on October 16….made a career-long 34-yard FG at John Carroll…Raider Buddy Program volunteer to visit local elementary schools to mentor and tutor students

C.J. BAHR, Slippery Rock University (Pennsylvania) – Division II

Is there a resource to find out more information about NCAA field goal kickers? The NCAA stats website is nice, but I'd be very interested in seeing the lengths of FGs made and missed.

I'm not aware of a stat site that has specific FG lengths. ESPN has them grouped into the usual ten yard increments going back to 2004. S-R has players stats back to 2000: http://www.sports-reference.com/cfb/
