Big Kickers on Campus, 2012 week 6

A summary of notable kicking during the sixth week of the 2012 college football season:

Senior kicker William Dion made four field goals and set the CIS career field goal record (now 75 and counting) during Sherbrooke's 48-6 win over Concordia.

Junior kicker Sebastian Aguirre made a 20 yard field goal with 34 seconds remaining to give Wesleyan a 31-28 win over Colby College.

"The coach called a short run on third and I knew it was going to come down to a kick. I was just focusing on keeping my emotions in check and staying loose. The snap and hold were perfect and I kept my head down and drove through the ball and knew it was good off my foot."
Sophomore kicker Andrew Slikker hit a 33 yard field goal as time expired as Kentucky Christian won 13-10 over Belhaven.

Junior kicker Austin Sweeney's 21 yard field goal in overtime lifted Bluffton 37-34 over Rose-Hulman.

Senior kicker Trey Farquhar made four field goals (39, 55, 32 & 53 yards) during Idaho's 26-18 win over New Mexico State.
“It feels great to finally get a win. We had a rough start at the beginning (of the season). Nobody liked it. We were all down on ourselves, and finally it was like it’s WAC … play. It just started today, so we are 1-0. (We) forgot about the last five games. Let’s move forward.”
Sophomore kicker John Gay hit a 44 yard field goal with no time left to give Harding a 23-20 victory over Southern Arkansas.

Senior kicker Andrew Jones made a 33 yard field goal as time expired giving Delta State a 38-35 win over Tarleton State.
