NFL Week Four: Assorted Kicking Tidbits & Milestones

On Sunday, Tampa Bay kicker Connor Barth hit a 57 yard field goal, tying him with Michael Husted for the second-longest in Bucs history behind Matt Bryant (see second list below).

He also extended his franchise-record streak of successful field goal attempts to 25. If he makes five more in-a-row, he'll join the following list of the longest NFL field goal streaks:
  • 42 Mike Vanderjagt 12/22/2002 – 09/09/2004
  • 40 Gary Anderson 12/15/1997 – 12/26/1998
  • 36 Matt Stover 10/31/2005 – 11/12/2006
  • 31 Neil Rackers 09/11/2005 – 11/20/2005
  • 31 Fuad Reveiz 10/10/1994 – 09/17/1995
  • 30 Jason Elam 11/11/2007 – 10/12/2008
  • 30 Jeff Wilkins 12/26/1999 – 10/21/2001
  • 30 Olindo Mare 09/27/2009 – 10/24/2010
Among St. Louis kicker Greg Zuerlein's four field goals Sunday were a 58 yarder and a 60 yarder. Both surpassed the previous team record of 57 yards by Jeff Wilkins. Zuerlein is the only player in league history to make kicks from 50+ and 60+ yards in the same game. He owns the record for longest field goal by a rookie in NFL history. He also joined some notable names for longest field goals ever:
  • 63 Tom Dempsey, New Orleans vs. Detroit 1970
  • 63 Jason Elam, Denver vs. Jacksonville 1998
  • 63 Sebastian Janikowski, Oakland vs. Denver 2011
  • 63 David Akers, San Francisco vs. Green Bay 2012
  • 62 Matt Bryant, Tampa Bay vs. Philadelphia 2006
  • 61 John Kasay, Carolina vs. New England 1999
  • 61 Sebastian Janikowksi, Oakland vs. Cleveland 2009
  • 60 Steve Cox, Cleveland vs. at Cincinnati 1984
  • 60 Morten Andersen, New Orleans vs. Chicago 1991
  • 60 Rob Bironas, Tennessee vs. Indianapolis 2006
  • 60 Dan Carpenter, Miami vs. Cleveland 2010
