Clemson Tigers 2013 Specialists

Our summer tour of FBS schools looks at the specialists for the Clemson Tigers.

Kicker: Chandler Catanzaro, senior (Greenville, SC / Christ Church Episcopal School)
2013: First-Team All-American by Sporting News; Fourth-Team All-American by Phil Steele; #3 Kicker in Nation by Lindy’s; First-Team All-ACC by Athlon, Lindy’s, Sporting News & USA Today

2012: Catanzaro made 18-19 field goals last year, including a 37-yarder to beat LSU 25-24 on the last play of the Chick-fil-A Bowl in Atlanta. He is a two-time semifinalist for the Lou Groza Award. He has scored 305 career points, third most in Clemson history, but just 25 away from breaking Aaron Hunt’s record.
Kicker: Ammon Lakip, sophomore (Johns Creek, GA / Chattahoochee HS)
backup kicker Lakip was not with the team in Spring due to personal reasons, but is expected back at Fall practice.
Kicker/punter: Corbin Jenkins, junior (Conway SC / Conway HS)
Worked at both kicker and holder during the Spring.
Punter: Bradley Pinion, sophomore (Concord, NC / Northwest Cabarrus HS)
'Clemson must replace Spencer Benton, the Swiss Army Knife of the Clemson special teams a year ago. Benton punted, kicked off and served as the holder on placements last year. But, Clemson does have a kicker with experience in two of those three areas.  Bradley Pinion had nine punts last year for a 39.4 average, including a net figure of 38.8, two yards better than Benton. Pinion also had 26 kickoffs, 18 of which went for touchbacks.'
He also hit a pair of field goals in the spring Orange & White Game.
Punter: Andy Teasdall, freshman (Winston-Salem, NC / Reynolds HS)
"I have been running and lifting to gain strength while trying out different activities such as yoga and pilates to maintain flexibility. Also, trying to be more consistent with my drop and swing."
Long snapper: Phillip Fajgenbaum, senior (Raleigh, NC / Ravenscroft School)
Starting snapper on punts, and backup on placekicks.
Long snapper: Michael Sobeski, junior (Roebuck, SC / Dorman HS)
Starting snapper on placekicks, and backup on punts.
Long snapper: Jim Brown, sophomore (Walterboro, SC / Pinewood Prep School)
2012: Played one game ... snapped on one punt against Ball State on Sept. 8; it was his first career game.
