Missouri Tigers 2013 Specialists

Our summer tour of FBS schools looks at the specialists for the Missouri Tigers.

Kicker: Andrew Baggett, sophomore (Lee's Summit, MO / North HS)
Returning starter.

2012: Battled in training camp and won the starting kicking job over Trey Barrow... won SEC All-Freshman Team honors for an outstanding first year ... Was a solid 14-of-20 on field goals for the season and connected on 33-of-37 extra points overall ... Also took over as primary kickoff man during the last half of the season, and had six of his 11 touchbacks on the year in his final two games
Kicker: Nick Coffman, freshman (Houston, TX / Elkins HS)
"The main thing that I've been working on is my flexibility and getting stronger. I've been doing a lot of core work and some leg work. I'm also working on my plant foot and driving through the ball. You always have to remember that its quality over quantity when you practice during the summer because I know its easy for me to kick a lot of balls cause I'm trying to get better as a kicker. Some of my plans and goals are that I will work with my kicking coach, get stronger, build core strength, and prepare for camp in August. (And maybe do some meditation for the mental part of the game)."
Kicker: Blake Owens, junior (Kansas City, MO / Staley HS)
Kicked one extra point in the Black & Gold Spring Game
Punter: Christian Brinser, junior (Liberty, MO / Liberty HS)
Enters camp as the favorite to claim the open punting job that was held for the last two season by Trey Barrow ... is the only Tiger on the roster with game experience under his belt. 2011: Appeared in one game, and booted a 47-yard punt in his only attempt against Western Illinois.
Long snapper / OL: Mitch Hall, sophomore (Burnsville, MN / Lakeville South HS)
2012: Saw action in four games as a redshirt freshman, contributing primarily as a long snapper for placekicks
