Texas State Bobcats 2013 Specialists

Our summer tour of FBS schools looks at the specialists for the Texas State Bobcats.

Kicker: Will Johnson, junior (Bryan, TX / Rudder HS)
2012: Played in 12 games … made 12 of his 17 field goal attempts … was successful on 43 of his 44 extra-point tries … broke his own school record with a 54-yard field goal against New Mexico State … averaged 41.0 yards on 22 punts … had a season-long 59-yard punt versus Utah State … kicked nine punts inside the 20-yard line … also averaged 63.8 yards on 37 kickoffs … had 20 touchbacks.
Maroon-Gold Spring Game:  kicked four extra points, averaged 63.8 yards on five kickoffs with three touchbacks
Selected Preseason All-Sun Belt Conference Second-Team by Phil Steele ... member the specialist trophy watch list by College Football Performance Awards
Kicker/punter: Jason Dann, senior (Richardson, TX / Lake Highlands HS)
2012:  Played in six games as a kicker on kickoffs … recorded one solo tackle on special teams … averaged 61.7 yards on his 27 kickoffs throughout the season
Maroon-Gold Spring Game:  kicked two extra points, averaged 49.3 yards on three kickoffs with one touchback
Punter: Zach Robinson, senior (Flower Mound, TX / Flower Mound HS)
2012: Played in nine games as a punter on special teams … averaged 46.2 yards on 26 punts … had eight punts over 50 yards … kicked a career-best punt of 59 yards against UTSA
Maroon-Gold Spring Game:  averaged 40.0 yards on five punts with two placed inside the 20 yard line
Selected Preseason All-Sun Belt Conference First-Team by Phil Steele
Long snapper: Ryan Williams, senior (Southlake, TX /Carroll HS)
2012: Played in five games as a deep snapper on special teams.
Prior: First team all conference while playing for Cisco Junior College ... Second team deep snapper for North Texas University.
