Fred Mitchell Award October 2013 Recognizees, part 1

The Fred Mitchell Award recognized 35 place-kickers for their excellence on the football field and in the community during the month of October. "October was a terrific month for place-kickers. There were notable game-winning field goals and records, including a record-tying 62-yard FG by a freshman kicker in California. Heading into the last month of the regular season, we are delighted to recognize these place-kickers that were nominated by their schools for extraordinary performance," said Fred Mitchell. The Award’s Selection Committee Chairman Chris Kearney added, "These place-kickers had a wonderful month on the football field. Their community service accomplishments are also impressive. It is a thrill to salute this group of fine student-athletes from diverse geographies, divisions and experience levels."
