NFL Week Six, 2013: Assorted Kicking Tidbits & Milestones

Robbie Gould hit a 52 yard field goal in the Bears win over the Giants. It was his 12th consecutive successful field goal from 50 or more yards, tying Blair Walsh for the longest streak in NFL history.

Adam Vinatieri hit field goals of 50 and 51 yards during the Colts loss to the Chargers. In team history, only two other kickers hit a pair of 50+ yarders in a game -  Mike Vanderjagt it in 2002 and Dean Biasucci in 1988.

The NFL record for most 50+ yarders in a game is three, shared by quite a few kickers:
  • Morten Andersen, Atlanta vs. New Orleans, Dec. 10, 1995
  • Neil Rackers, Arizona vs. Seattle, Oct. 24, 2004
  • Kris Brown, Houston vs. Miami, Oct. 7, 2007
  • Conner Barth, Tampa Bay vs. Miami, Nov. 15, 2009
  • Sebastian Janikowski, Oakland vs. Houston, Oct. 9, 2011
  • Josh Scobee, Jacksonville vs. Baltimore, Oct. 24, 2011
  • Phil Dawson, Cleveland vs. Baltimore, Sept. 27, 2012
  • Blair Walsh, Minnesota vs. St. Louis, Dec. 16, 2012
