XLIF 2014 - The Kickers

The inaugural season of X-League Indoor Football began last night.

The Kicking Rules:
  • Kickoffs are from the goal line. Kickers may use a one-inch tee.
  • Punting is illegal. On fourth down, a team may go for a first down, touchdown or field goal.
  • The receiving team may field any kickoff or missed field goal that is in play.
  • Any kickoff untouched which is out of bounds will be placed at the 20-yard line or the place where it went out of bounds, whichever is more advantageous to the receiving team.
Alabama Outlawz - Chris Campbell (North Alabama)
"Chris Campbell, the soccer coach at Fultondale High, is the kicker for the Alabama Outlawz. The team is shown in its second to last walk-through prior to opening the season tonight against the Georgia Rampage in Dalton, Ga., at the North Georgia Trade Center." -
Florida Marine Raiders - Jesus Cortez (Bethune-Cookman)
From 9/15/13, former Lakeland Raiders of the UIFL: "K Jesus Cortez wins Week 10’s Defensive and Special Teams Player of the Week in the Raiders game against the Fury. Cortez went 4-4 in extra point attempts and had 2 touchbacks as well."

St. Louis Attack - Corey Adamson (USC-Aiken)
"Corey Adamson of the St. Louis Ambush Major Indoor Soccer League team will take over all kicking duties for the 2014 season. Corey was a stand out player and fan favorite for the Ambush in 2013-2014 season. Adamson will take all kicks with his left foot and incorporate his soccer style kick pattern. Corey Adamson hails from Clearwater, Florida. The 25-year old forward spent his collegiate career (2006-10) playing for USC-Aiken. He has also played for the Atlanta Blackhawks (PDL), Panama City Beach Pirates (PDL), Las Vegas Legends (PASL) and Houston Dutch Lions (PDL). This past season Adamson won multiple Honorable Mention player of the week awards from the Major Indoor Soccer League (4). Adamson also tallied 20 points for the Ambush along with scoring the first and last goal of the season.... Corey Adamson added, 'I am excited to start this new chapter in my professional career. I have been working hard on crafting my football skills, and feel my extensive soccer background will help me as I mature into this new role'." - St. Louis Attack
