September 14, 2015 - kicker Roberto Aguayo named ACC Specialist of the Week
Aguayo broke the ACC record for consecutive PATs (161) and officially became the most accurate kicker in the NCAA record books in the Seminoles’ 34-14 victory over USF on Saturday. Aguayo made field goals from 30 yards and 38 yards and nailed all four of his extra points. Aguayo needed to make 50 field goals in his career to qualify for NCAA records. He is now 51 of 55 on field goals (.927) – the highest percentage in college football history – and has made 212 of 216 career kicks (.982). The latter is also the best mark for combined PATs and field goals." - Seminoles

June 6, 2015 - kickers Ricky Aguayo & Tyler Logan commit
"During Florida State's June Kicking Camp, Ricky Aguayo, younger brother of FSU kicker Roberto Aguayo, and Tyler Logan both pledged their future services to the Seminoles... Aguayo attends IMG academy in Bradenton, Fla. with fellow FSU commitment Isaac Nauta. He transferred from Montverde Academy (Fla.) after the school cancelled its football program. The strong-legged kicker is ranked by Kohl's as the nation's No. 3 kicker for the class of 2016. During the same kicking camp, Logan Tyler, Kohl's No. 1 ranked kicker for the class of 2016, did the same thing and tweeted out his commitment. He attends Nixa High School in Nixa, Missouri. Tyler has kicked a 75-yard field goal in practice and a kickoff 90 yards (see video below). He is being recruited as both a kicker and punter by Florida State." - Rivals

February 28, 2015 - kicker Kevin Robledo commits as preferred walk-on
"Florida State gained another commitment Saturday following Junior Day, picking up Army All-American kicker Kevin Robledo as a preferred walk-on. Robledo, out of Thousand Oaks California, is former teammates with FSU QB commit Malik Henry and looks forward to reuniting. 'I just committed to FSU, I'm going to be a Seminoles,' Robledo said. 'We've been teammates for the past couple years and now we're just going to continue to be friends. I think it'll be good to work with him. He told me I would love it, and I did. I will call him now.' FSU's staff apparently liked Robledo's leg strength and potential to grow. He spent time with current FSU kicker Roberto Aguayo, getting a feel for what it's like kicking at FSU." - Tomahawk Nation

January 8, 2015 - Roberto Aguayo to remain in school
"Kicker Roberto Aguayo will return to school for his redshirt junior season, FSU head coach Jimbo Fisher announced on Thursday.... Aguayo is a two-time All-American and a two-time finalist for the Lou Groza Award given to the nation’s top kicker, winning the award in 2013 when he set an FBS record with 157 points. “After praying about it and talking with my parents, coaches and others I trust, I know that the best decision for me is to return to Florida State for another year,” Aguayo said. “I am more than excited to continue to build on the success we have had here at Florida State and I’m looking forward to continuing to improve next fall, to obtain my degree and to grow as a person.” - Tallahassee Democrat

November 22, 2014 - Roberto Aguayo kicks game winner over Boston College
For the first time in his career, redshirt sophomore kicker Roberto Aguayo missed a field goal in Doak S. Campbell Stadium. The miss came with 3:36 remaining in the third quarter and was from 40 yards out. The kick was doomed from the start of the play. 'I know that there are going to be misses out there, obviously I don’t kick to miss, I kick to make it, you know. It happens you know,' Aguayo said of the miss. 'The snap wasn’t there, (holder) Cason (Beatty) tried to get it down, you know, I just missed it be a little bit. It happens,' Aguayo added. 'I talked to them after, we regrouped, and on to the next one.' Lucky for Aguayo, he would get a chance for he and his Florida State special team battery mates to redeem themselves against Boston College. FSU was tied 17-17 with just over four minutes remaining. Boston College's go-ahead field goal attempt sailed wide right. Aguayo knew he may get the call to clinch the 27th consecutive victory for the Seminoles. 'When we got the ball with four minutes and some seconds left, I knew that we were going to drive it down. Either we were going to score or it was going to come to a game winner, so I was preparing,' Aguayo said. 'I was on the sidelines getting (long-snapper Stephen) Gabbard snaps with Cason, I got two kicks in and I was ready.' The call came with seven seconds remaining. FSU was at the nine yard line. Aguayo made his way onto the field for the go-ahead attempt. 'It’s just another kick, it doesn’t matter how far it is,' Aguayo said. 'The offense drove it down, it was a 26 yarder and I went out there and let it go. It was well in my range, a 26 yarder, I knew I just had to hit it and give it a good line and it would have gone in,' Aguayo added. For Aguayo, it marked the first time in his football career that he had been placed in such a situation. 'That’s my first game winner. Ever,' Aguayo said. 'Not even in Pop Warner.' Beatty was glad for his teammate that he got the chance to come through in the end, giving FSU a 20-17 victory over the Eagles." - 247 Sports

November 20, 2014 - punter Cason Beatty
“I know any time we get across the 50, we’re either going to score, or kick a field goal or they’re going to be pinned back deep,' Beatty said. 'That’s the confidence going in.' Beatty, a junior from Charlotte, N.C., has held up more than his end of the bargain lately. Junior defensive back Tyler Hunter first noticed it a few weeks ago during FSU’s win over Virginia, when Beatty launched a 67-yard punt that landed at UVA’s 7-yard line and blew away his previous career high. But Beatty’s hot streak started well before that. Since the Seminoles’ game against Syracuse on Oct. 11, Beatty has punted 18 times for an average of 45.7 yards per kick. That’s a dramatic improvement from the Beatty’s first half of the season, when he averaged 38.9 yards across 19 punts. 'It’s been huge,' FSU coach Jimbo Fisher said. 'He’s been a difference maker. I mean, that guy is changing field position'." - Seminoles

October 4, 2014 - Roberto Aguayo kicks five field goals, breaks streak record
"On Saturday, he drilled five field goals in the Seminoles' 43-3 win over Wake Forest. He hit a 52-yarder that almost landed in the tunnel. He has now made 21 consecutive field goals, dating back to the lone miss of his FSU career – a 43-yard attempt at Wake Forest a season ago.... The sophomore broke Graham Gano's school-record for consecutive field goals when he boomed that 52-yarder into the parking lot. And afterwards he had no idea he had done so until a reporter told him. 'How much is it?' Aguayo asked of his current streak. 'You're at 21 now,' he was told. 'I didn't know that,' Aguayo said. "I knew Gano had (the record), but I never thought about it. I never added up how many kicks I have made (in a row). I just take it day by day. That's exciting news for me. I'm happy for that, but the process is the same'." - Tallahassee Democrat

September 15, 2014 - punting practice
"Cason Beatty spent more time punting during the open session than I can remember seeing in years. Most of this time was spent one-on-one with a strength and conditioning assistant, and looked to be working on fully extending his leg (and likely stretching). Beatty worked on rugby kick as well. Also, FSU confirmed with me that walk-on punter Brian Crews is on Florida State's roster, even though it doesn't show it on the University's website." - Tomahawk Nation

April 22, 2014 - kicker Roberto Aguayo honored
"Lake County Commissioners are honoring Roberto Aguayo. He helped Florida State University win the national championship this season. Commissioners said Aguayo, who attended South Lake High School, consistently has expressed pride in his hometown of Mascotte. He broke the national record for points by a kicker, won the award for the nation’s top kicker, and single handedly would have outscored more than half the Seminoles' opponents." - Bay News 9

March 24, 2014 - punting practice
"During punting drills Roberto Aguayo worked in with Cason Beatty and walk-on Jonathan Hernandez." - Sports Talk Florida

February 5, 2014 - long snapper Stephen Gabbard signs
"Enrolled at Florida State in January and is expected to participate in spring practice...consensus two-star recruit...ranked the third-best long snapper in the nation by ESPN...rated a five-star long snapper and the nation's fourth-best by Kohls Kicking." - Seminoles
