October 10, 2015 - Jonathan Barnes kicks game winner over UTSA
"For the last two years, Skip Holtz has searched for a consistent kicking game that could deliver in the clutch. He may have finally found it. Jonathan Barnes hit two field goals, including a 32-yard chip shot with 10 seconds left in the game, as Louisiana Tech (4-2, 2-1 Conference USA) edged UTSA (1-5, 1-1), 34-31, Saturday evening at the Alamodome in front of 24,392 fans. That game-winning field goal, the first of Barnes’ career, capped a dramatic fourth quarter in which UTSA tied the game on a 57-yard touchdown pass from Dalton Sturm to JaBryce Taylor. Sturm finished the game with 227 yards passing and four touchdowns." - KSLA

August 27, 2015 - kicker Jonathan Barnes
"Tech coach Skip Holtz said Thursday that kicker Jonathan Barnes is the favorite to win the job for 2015 after a less than publicized battle with Kyle Fischer. 'I think Jonathan Barnes is place-kicking the ball really well. I think Jonathan Barnes will be our kicker,' Holtz said. The reason there hasn't been much attention on kickers and punters this fall is twofold — they normally work out on their own away from the entire team and there hasn't been competition, at least with the kickers, since Fischer has been injured. Barnes made the most of his opportunity in Tech's first scrimmage when he connected on 6-of-7 attempts. Barnes made field goals of 27, 32, 37, 43, 44 and 52 on his last attempt. His only miss came from 47 yards when it hit the left upright." - News Star

April 12, 2014 - T-Day Spring Game
"Kyle Fischer would connect on three straight field goal attempts to finish the half, including  57-yard field goal with 3:30 remaining in the second quarter, as the Red Team took a 23-7 lead into halftime." - Bulldogs

April 5, 2014 - spring scrimmage
"The only other score between the first and second team offenses was a 47-yard field goal by Kyle Fischer that split the uprights on a drive by the second team offense." - Bulldogs

February 5, 2014 - long snapper Tucker Etheridge signs
"Graduated from Blessed Trinity High School in 2013 ... Lettered in football ... An all-region snapper and all-state honorable mention honoree that played in the Georgia Chamber Bowl Senior All-Star game in 2012 ... Did not have a bad snap in 79 attempts his senior season." - CSTV
