North Dakota Kicker, Punter & Snapper News

October 3, 2015 - Reid Taubenheim kicks 4 field goals, including game winner, over Portland State
"Reid Taubenheim kicked four field goals and North Dakota's defense shut down Portland State's running game in a 19-17 Big Sky Conference win over the Vikings on Saturday. Taubenheim kicked field goals of 23, 37, 41 and what proved to be a game-winning 29-yarder in the fourth quarter." - AP

November 15, 2014 - Reid Taubenheim kicks game winner over Northern Arizona
"UND’s 30-28 win over No. 22 Northern Arizona on Saturday at the Alerus Center.... True freshman Reid Taubenheim is having a solid season. He made three field goals in a game for the second time this season. He is now 12-for-15 on the season, making seven straight field-goal attempts. The biggest one was the 35-yarder [with four seconds remaining] that gave UND its biggest win of the season. He knew right away the kick would sail through the uprights. It was a big kick for another reason, too. It was Senior Day for UND, which honored its 15 seniors before the game. 'When I hit it, it was for the seniors,' Taubenheim said." - Grand Forks Herald

April 25, 2014 - no spring kicks
"Special teams coordinator Shawn Kostich faces similar issues in working on the team’s kicking game, as he has been coaching the group without having a key player: the kicker. 'I’ve only got two specialists here,' Kostich said. 'The kicker isn’t there yet, I just have a punter and a snapper. We’re not competing against anybody right now, it’s all about your own individual improvement, your improvement as an offense and your improvement as a kicking game.' As for the team’s kicking game, Kostich says they’ve been hitting fundamentals hard, so the players know what they are capable of before their final teammates come. 'It’s been less about scheme and more about fundamentals,' Kostich said. 'We’ve got to figure out what can we get out of the players that are here, what do we need from the players that are coming in, because that’s got to get ironed out before we hit fall camp'.” - Dakota Student
