September 20, 2015 - kicker Cam Pedersen named MVFC Special Teams Player of the Week
"after converting 4 of 4 PAT kicks and 2 of 2 field goals in North Dakota State's 34-9 home win over North Dakota. Pedersen, a freshman from Eau Claire, Wis., tied the game with a 28-yard field goal in the first quarter to cap a 10-play scoring drive and blasted a 49-yard field goal in the fourth quarter as part of 34 unanswered NDSU points. A walk-on who traveled to Montana and had his redshirt pulled against Weber State, Pedersen is now 9 of 9 on PAT kicks and 4 of 4 on FGs in two games for the Bison." - Bison

August 5, 2015 - punter Ben LeCompte also kicks
"senior Ben LeCompte added place-kicking to his resume in addition to being one of the top returning punters in the FCS. LeCompte was competing with junior Tom Barneson for the kicking job in spring football. 'He has to get more comfortable with that,' said Bison head coach Chris Klieman at the team’s annual Media Day on Wednesday. 'But I’m comfortable with Ben, to put him in a 26,000-seat stadium to kick a 25- or a 30- or a 35-yard field goal.' That was most likely in reference to NDSU’s season opener at the University of Montana.... Moving LeCompte to kicker means the Bison will be looking for another holder for field goals, a spot previously held by LeCompte. Klieman said that will probably be one of the two backup quarterbacks — Cole Davis or Easton Stick. 'Now that throws them in the fold for a really important position,' he said.Klieman said he expects Barneson, freshman kicker Cam Pedersen and freshman punter Ian Gallagher to join the team when the rest of the players report Aug. 24." - Dickinson Press

April 23, 2015 - spring game preview
"The next Adam Keller: coach Klieman said this week the kicker competition will go into fall camp, but it wouldn't hurt for somebody to have a good day. Junior Tom Barneson has been switching off with senior Ben LeCompte, who is in the mix to be the dual guy of punter and kicker. NDSU also has freshman recruit Cam Pedersen coming this fall. Freshman Ian Gallagher will also punt on Saturday." - In Forum

February 4, 2015 - kicker Cam Pedersen signs as preferred walk-on
Four-year letterman for coach Bryant Brenner at Regis...Part of three straight playoff teams, including a 13-1 state runner-up finish in 2012...Three-time all-city and all-conference performer...Two-time all-region...All-state honorable mention as a junior...Played quarterback and safety in addition to his kicking duties." - Bison

October 29, 2014 - kicker Adam Keller
"Keller needs two more field goals to break his 2012 record of 18 field goals in a season. He is 29 of 29 on PAT kicks and has a streak of 88 straight dating back to the fourth game of 2013. He set a single-game school record this year with five field goals against Montana. Keller is third among active FCS kickers with 44 career field goals. The opposing kicker this week, South Dakota State's Justin Syrovatka, is second with 46." - NBC Sports

September 20, 2014 - Adam Keller kicks five field goals in win over Montana
"Bob and Judy Keller drove 22 hours from Pennsylvania to watch their grandson play Saturday afternoon at Gate City Bank Field. He did them proud. North Dakota State senior kicker Adam Keller booted a school-record five field goals. His performance helped lift the top-ranked Bison to a 22-10 victory against No. 3-ranked Montana in Division I FCS football at the Fargodome.... Keller earned player of the game honors, making all five of the field goals he attempted. The 6-foot-1, 205-pound Keller made field goals of 41, 22, 32 and 47 yards in the first half. The senior added a 30-yarder with 7 minutes, 2 seconds to play in the fourth quarter to give the Bison a 22-10 lead.... Keller, from Lewisberry, Pa., has made his last 13 field-goal attempts and said he feels healthier than he did last season. Keller credits offseason hip surgery for the difference. His surgeon was also on the sideline Saturday." - Grand Forks Herald

April 22, 2014 - kickers Adam Keller & Tom Barneson
"Kicker Adam Keller is nowhere to be seen in Bison spring football practice after undergoing surgery to his hip. That means the job is Tom Barneson’s, at least for now. And so far, the former walk-on from Eau Claire, Wis., has done the job. 'Spring ball is about working on my mechanics and making sure my leg is swinging right,' he said. Barneson is also showing more pop in his kicks. In a controlled scrimmage last Saturday, he hit six straight field goals, with the last one clearing the crossbar with room to spare from 53 yards at Gate City Bank Field at the Fargodome. Whereas the consistency mark was 35 yards and in when he was a redshirt freshman, he said he’s increased that to 45 yards and in.... NDSU fans who attend the annual spring game on Saturday will get a good look at Barneson. As the only healthy kicker, he’ll be doing the chores for both teams.... Keller, while watching the scrimmage from the sideline on Saturday, said he feels good and will be ready to go. Klieman said he expects the senior to begin kicking in June sometime, which would actually be ahead of schedule from the last couple of years. 'He told me in the past he hasn’t started kicking until mid-July because he’s had this issue with his hip for so long,' Klieman said. 'Maybe it will be a benefit for him to get out there a little bit early'.” - InForum
