October 5, 2015 - kicker Logan Howard named SoCon Special Teams Player of the Week"Freshman Logan Howard accounted for nine of WCU’s 31 points against Presbyterian. Howard booted a pair of field goals in the rainy and windy conditions Saturday afternoon. The Kernersville, N.C., native booted a season-long 46-yard field goal early in the second quarter to give the Catamounts a 10-7 lead and connected from 45 yards out to push the WCU advantage to 20-14 in the third quarter. Howard also made all three of his extra-point attempts in the win." - SoCon

April 11, 2015 - second spring scrimmage
"In special teams work, kicker Tim Gawert split the uprights from 31 yards out while Blake Metcalf connected on a 19-yard field goal during the scrimmage. Two punters split the reps with Destry Barnwell punting three times for an average of 50 yards per kick including a long of 51 yards. Ian Berryman kicked once for 44 yards." - Catamount

February 4, 2015 - kicker Logan Howard signs
"Kernersville, N.C., Played one season at East Forsyth as a senior after transferring from Bishop McGuinness High ... Connected on 75 of his 76 point after touchdown attempts and was 7-for-9 on field goals with a long of 48 yards ... His 96 points on the season were sixth in North Carolina among placekickers ... A combined 51 of his 98 seasonal kickoff attempts went for touchbacks ... Earned All-Piedmont Triad 4-A Conference accolades as a senior as the top kicker as a part of EFHS's 10-1, conference championship squad ... Collected All-Greensboro/Triad and all-region honors ... Was East Forsyth High's special teams MVP ... In two seasons at Bishop McGuinness, was 49-for-53 on PATs and 7-for-10 on field goals, scoring 70 total kicking points ... Had a 4.5 star kicker rating through Chris Sailer, and received class of 2015 honorable mention status ... Also was a running back and safety at BMHS " - Catamount

April 28, 2014 - kicker Logan Lambert
"When Logan Lambert, an EBCI tribal member, started to play football as a sophomore kicker and punter at Tuscola High School, he had dreams to play college football and kick in an all-star game. But he just thought it was dreams and not a reality. On March 14, in a packed media center, Lambert realized dreams come true. The senior placekicker’s first dream came true when he accepted an invitation from head coach Mark Speir to walk-on at Western Carolina University. Lambert’s second dream was realized when he was offered an incredible opportunity to represent the United States as part of the American Football Worldwide ELITE team as its kicker in a game against France’s 19 and under national American football team in Paris." - Cherokee One Feather
