Delaware Fightin' Blue Hens Kicker, Punter & Snapper News

October 3, 2015 - Frank Raggo kicks game winner over William & Mary
"The University of Delaware fought back from a nine-point fourth quarter deficit and knocked off No. 25 William & Mary Saturday as redshirt freshman kicker Frank Raggo nailed a 29-yard field goal on the final play of the game to give Delaware a hard-fought 24-23 victory.... Raggo, who had missed a 25-yard field goal attempt in the second quarter, redeemed himself in a big way with the winning kick, Delaware's first game-winning field goal since 2013 when Sean Baner's 33-yard field goal on the final play clinched a win over CAA foe Albany. 'I had to wait almost an hour to kick again,' said Raggo of the time between his miss and his game-winner. 'But I had total confidence in myself and just went back to basics. This is one of the best experiences of my life'." - Blue Hens

October 8, 2014 - punter Eric Enderson
"Enderson's booming punts have since become a Blue Hen staple. He went on to punt for a 45-yard average last year, a UD record by 2.2 yards. It was the best mark by a Colonial Athletic Association punter since 2008 and third best nationally in FCS. He's been a valuable asset again in 2014 for the Hens (3-2, 1-0), who play Elon (1-4, 0-1) in a 3:30 p.m. Parents Day game Saturday at Delaware Stadium. 'I am kind of surprised,' Enderson said of his development as a punter. 'If you had asked me before I even came to Delaware if I would be punting, first off, or if I would be punting this well I would have told you you were crazy. But now it's just awesome that everything's come together and I'm just really lucky to be in the position I am.' This season, Enderson's 44.8-yard average is second in the conference, just behind William & Mary freshman Hunter Windmuller's 45.1, and sixth in the FCS. Kicking is something he only does now casually, sometimes in practice competitions with Delaware's regular kickers." - Delaware Online

August 9, 2014 - summer scrimmage
"Garrett Greenway kicked 22-, 37-, 40- and 40-yard field goals and had the distance but not the accuracy on a longer attempt. "Garrett did a terrific job kicking the football," Brock said. Back-up Kevin McLaughlin drilled 30- and 37-yarders." - Delaware Online

May 2, 2014 - kicker Garrett Greenway
"Sean Baner closed his career in 2013 No. 2 all-time at Delaware in field goals (39) and No. 3 in kick scoring (223 points). The Blue Hens need a new leg to provide those services, and junior Garrett Greenway has, so far, earned that opportunity. Through spring drills, which close with Saturday's Blue-White intrasquad game at noon at Delaware Stadium, Greenway has come out on top in the kicking competition and been named the Hens' most improved special teams player... He first saw action in 2012, kicking off three times in the win over Rhode Island. Last year, Greenway was Delaware's holder on placements the first seven games and also delivered the successful and ultimately decisive onside kick in Delaware's dramatic 32-31 upset win at Towson. Greenway, whose older brother Brad was an All-Ivy kicker at Cornell, faces more challenges in August. Among Delaware's incoming scholarship freshmen is kicker Frank Raggo from Randolph, N.J. Raggo kicked four field goals of 40-plus yards and had 52 touchbacks on kickoffs in his career." - Delaware Online
