February 4, 2015 - kicker/punter Cade Coffey signs
"Lakeland High, Rathdrum, Idaho. Coffey played football and soccer at Lakeland. As a senior, he kicked a 57-yard field goal in a state playoff game. He was good on 23-of-25 PAT attempts as well as seven-of-eight field goals. He earned first-team all-state honors as a junior and senior, and was a first-team all-conference choice as a sophomore. In soccer, he was the Inland Empire League goalkeeper of the year as a sophomore." - Lewiston Tribune

January 19, 2015 - kicker Blake Levin accepts preferred walk-on offer
"The preferred walk-on label means that Idaho’s coaches have guaranteed the 5-foot-10, 185-pound, place-kicker from Santa Barbara City College a roster spot in fall camp. Levin was an all-conference punter and second-team all-conference kicker in his senior season at Cheyenne Central. He signed with Northern State University and spent the 2013 campaign at that NCAA Division II school in Aberdeen, South Dakota. He then transferred to the University of Wyoming and walked on with the Cowboys last spring. Levin found too many familiar faces in Laramie and set out to chart his own path.... That’s how Levin landed in Santa Barbara, where he was 32 of 35 on extra-point attempts for the Vaqueros. He also hit 9 of 10 field goal attempts, with makes of 48, 47 and 45 yards. Levin missed two October games because of a right quadriceps injury. He showed no ill effects from the injury, going 4 for 4 on field goals – including his 47-yarder – and 11 for 12 on extra points after returning to the lineup." - Wyo Sports

August 4, 2014 - kicker Jordan Burke
Coach Paul Petrino on new kicker Jordan Burke: "Jordan Burke, some of the old Vandals might remember Paul Burke, who was a great tight end here when I was an assistant here. His son Jordan was a kicker at Mesa junior college, and he’s come in here and he’s going to compete to be the PAT, Field goal kicker and to kick off but if we had to play today Austin would do both." - Lewiston Tribune

May 8, 2014 - kicker/punter Austin Rehkow
Rehkow says his first spring workouts could have gone a little better – at least a little healthier. 'I was struggling with a few nagging little injuries,' he said. 'It could have been better, but it was OK.' Still, he said, the Vandals showed marked improvement this spring.... 'I’m excited about next season – even after we took a big hit over the APR rate.' Just hours after completing their final scrimmage, the Silver and Gold Game, the Vandals were ruled ineligible for a 2014 bowl game because the school had failed to meet the NCAA’s Academic Progress Rate under former coach Robb Akey. 'That’s frustrating, but I think we’re all excited about playing in the Sun Belt Conference and getting the chance to play against schools like Ole Miss and Florida State,' he said. 'When I was in high school I’d watch teams like that play and to get the chance to go there and play them now is great'.” - Spokesman-Review
