November 13, 2014 - Sean Ianno kicks game winner over Southern Miss
"Senior Sean Ianno’s 38-yard field goal with two seconds remaining lifted the UTSA Roadrunners to a sigh-of-relief, 12-10 victory Thursday night over the Southern Miss Golden Eagles. 'I was just hoping we’d get in a situation where Sean would have a chance to win the game with a kick,' UTSA coach Larry Coker said. 'That was his fifth game-winning kick (in his career). He’s earned a scholarship'.... Ianno said he was confident the Roadrunners would make the plays. 'As soon as we were going out there for the last drive, I just started warming up because I knew we were going to get there,' Ianno said. 'We had no other choice. 'For the most part, when we get our backs to the wall like that, we usually come out with some big plays'.... Deep snapper Jesse Medrano was an injury casualty on special teams." - My San Antonio

October 11, 2014 - kicker Sean Ianno ties it twice, then wins it over FIU
Senior Sean Ianno kicked a 39-yard field goal with 50 seconds left to lift the Roadrunners to a stirring 16-13 victory over Florida International in a Conference USA game Saturday before a crowd of 25,318 at the Alamodome....  Ianno kicked a 42-yard field goal on UTSA's second possession of the third quarter to tie the game 10-10.... Ianno kicked a 27-yard field goal with 1:54 remaining to tie the game at 13. Junior safety Duke Wheeler, a walk-on, recovered a fumble by Glenn Coleman at the FIU 26 on the ensuing kickoff to set up the fourth game-winning kick of Ianno's UTSA career.... Ianno looked more like a guy who had just awakened from a relaxing nap than someone who had just kicked a game-winning field goal. 'I try to keep it like that all the time,' Ianno said. 'About the game-winner, I told Austin with about five minutes left in the game, I was like, 'You ever made a game-winning drive? He told me, 'Yes, I was in high school'. I was like, 'Well, they feel pretty good, so go do it.' We got that down and I'm glad we could just come out with the win. I'm just proud of everybody'." - KENS5
