April 4, 2015 - spring game final kicks
"Two seconds left with Ohio football's 2015 Green and White Game in the balance on Saturday (April 4) at Peden Stadium and redshirt senior kicker Josiah Yazdani (Albany, Ohio) lining up to take the game-winning field goal for Ohio. Normally, third-year cornerbacks coach James Ward would be hoping for that kick to go through the uprights. But the spring game was on the line for the defense, so Ward furiously attempted to gain the official's attention so he could call a timeout. 'I was trying to freeze the kicker,' said Ward. 'I was trying to have fun. We had timeouts, and it's hard to freeze Yaz, but I tried my best.' Yazdani's initial field goal attempt split the goal post, but a penalty for coaches being on the field pushed back the attempt, and Yazdani clanged off the right upright from 46 yards out, giving the defense a 25-20 victory." - Bobcats

January 28, 2015 - kicker Louie Zervos commits
"Tarpon Springs kicker Louis Zervos made his college plans official, committing to Ohio on Wednesday.... Zervos figured the scholarship offers would come in frequently after he received top honors at a Kohl’s Kicking Camp this past summer, which earned him a roster spot in the Under Armour All-American Game. He rocketed up the rankings and was No. 5 nationally at the beginning of the season. Zervos was solid as a senior, hitting 35 of 37 PATs and 6 of 9 field goals, including a long of 45 yards. That piqued the interest of a few colleges, but nothing materialized into an offer until after the season. In the last two months Zervos also picked up offers from East Carolina, FIU, Ohio, Purdue and Texas Tech." - Tampa Bay Times

November 25, 2014 - Josiah Yazdani kicks game winner over Miami OH
"Ohio’s bowl hopes were on the line with 1:47 remaining in the Battle of the Bricks. Josiah Yazdani lined up to break a tie game with a 42-yard yard field goal, but he pulled the kick wide left and thought he had let the Tuesday night game slip away. As Miami regained possession, Brendan Cope told his kicker on the sideline he’d get another chance to redeem himself. 'After that first miss I didn’t lose confidence, but you feel like you let the whole team down,' Yazdani said. 'I can’t say enough to Derrius and our offense, they got me down there again.' Ironically enough, Cope was a focal point in Ohio’s game-winning drive. Miami’s offense couldn’t put together a drive to win the game and Ohio got the ball back with one minute remaining. On the ensuing drive, Cope, a freshman wide receiver, dove forward along the sideline to reel in a 38-yard reception. That catch put the Bobcats at the RedHawks’ 11-yard line and gave Yazdani a chance to 'go from zero to hero,' as he drilled a 28-yard game-winning kick and gave Ohio the 24-21 victory." - The Post

October 18, 2014 - Josiah Yazdani kicks game winner over Akron
"Josiah Yazdani booted a 22-yard field goal with 1:55 remaining, and the Ohio defense came up with four fourth-quarter stops, to lift the Bobcats in a 23-20 win over Akron inside Peden Stadium on Saturday afternoon." - Athens Ohio Today

September 17, 2014 - kicker Josiah Yazdani at home on turf
"For Yazdani, it’s more than coming home and playing in front of a crowd sometimes called the best in the Mid-American Conference. It’s more than not having to travel for the game and not having to sleep in a hotel bed. It’s about the turf. Specifically, it is the texture of Peden’s field — a mix of washed silica sand and cryogenic rubber called FieldTurf — that has Yazdani excited to play at home for the first time this season. 'Peden is so awesome. To finally not be haggled for one game is gonna be awesome,' says Yazdani. 'And also to be able to kick on a field I’m comfortable with. I’m really happy to come home and kick in a comfortable setting'.... The main reason Yazdani feels comfortable at Peden is because he is used to the FieldTurf. It’s the surface he has kicked on during practice every day, since he came to Ohio in 2011. In two full seasons as Ohio’s kicker, Yazdani has never missed a field goal at home. He’s only missed three in his entire career, two of which have occurred this season." - Backdrop

August 30, 2014 - Josiah Yazdani kicks game winner over Kent State
"Derrius Vick led the Bobcats on a 44-yard drive that ended with a game-winning, 44-yard field goal by Josiah Yazdani that gave Ohio the 17-14 victory at Dix Stadium.... That set up Yazdani’s game-winning field goal from the left-hash. 'I knew it was money as soon as my toe touched the ball,' Yazdani said. 'I don’t even know if I saw the ball I just glanced up and saw where it was headed and turned and ran around'.” - WOUB

April 24, 2014 - spring specialists
"Returning kicker Josiah Yazdani should be one of the most dependable kickers in the conference. Solich finally sprung for a scholarship punter — previously Ohio looked at walk-ons or gray shirts for the role — and the results from Mitch Bonnsetter this spring were encouraging." - Saturday Edge

April 12, 2014 - Green and White game
"The Bobcats' lone field goal came off the foot of redshirt junior kicker Josiah Yazdani (Albany, Ohio) as he connected from 38 yards out." - Bobcats
