February 4, 2015 - kicker Jonathan Song signs
"Having another cannon leg loaded up for after Jaden Oberkrom's graduation is great news for TCU, which is just what they have in Fort Worth All Saints kicker Jonathan Song.... Though he wasn't asked to kick for three very often by All Saints, who have dominated teams in the Southwest Preparatory Conference the past several years, when he was asked to, he put on a show. He hit from 60 and 50+ as a senior, and I saw him miss a 67 yarder by *that much* that had plenty of distance, but swung just wide at the tail. A 2* recruit, he is the #18 ranked kicker in the country, and will be an excellent replacement for Oberkrom when he graduates." - Frogs of War

November 1, 2014 - Jaden Oberkrom kicks game winner over West Virginia
"Offense has been the star attraction during TCU’s rise to No. 7. But needing a win to remain in the College Football Playoff hunt, the red-hot Frogs went black-and-blue on Saturday. They traded the stylish stats for smashmouth survival, beating No. 20 West Virginia, 31-30, on Jaden Oberkrom’s 37-yard field goal as time expired.... With TCU starting the final drive at its 24, Boykin threw 40-yard strike to Kolby Listenbee to West Virginia’s 33. Three more running plays and the Frogs were at the 24, well within Oberkrom's range, on the left hash mark. Oberkrom’s first game-winning kick was never in doubt despite the swirling breeze and thick mist. 'The wind was tricky all day,' Oberkrom said. 'But when I saw it staying straight, I knew it was good. It feels great to finally kick a game winner'." - Dallas News

August 26, 2014 - summer specialists
"Incumbent placekicker Jaden Oberkrom has one of the biggest legs in the country, and TCU fans should expect to see the junior at his best this season. Oberkrom’s career long of 56 yards gave the Frogs a 31-30 lead with 2:13 left in the 4th quarter against KSU last year. TCU will be looking for Oberkrom to produce more high-pressure kicks like this one in 2014. Oberkrom, recently placed on the Lou Groza Award watch-list for the best placekicker in the nation, is looking to build on a 2013 campaign that saw him make 14 of 18 attempts and earn a spot on the All-Big 12 honorable mention team.... Junior punter Ethan Perry has a powerful leg of his own. With a career-long punt of 64 yards, leg strength has always been a weapon for Perry. His yards per punt average in 2013 did regress slightly from 44.5 to 40.3, but Perry looked to be increasing hang-time for a coverage unit that had its struggles in 2013. Perry managed to pin 29 punts behind the 20-yard line and force 33 fair catches, both improvements on 2012’s 19 punts pinned and 20 fair catches forced.... Senior James Power will return as the long snapper this season, and redshirt first-year quarterback Zach Allen will serve as the team’s holder." - TCU 360

May 28, 2014 - returning specialists
"Jaden Oberkrom and punter Ethan Perry return as reliable third-year starters. Oberkrom made 14-of-18 field-goal attempts last season and has made 79 consecutive extra points, tying a TCU record. Perry averaged 40.3 yards per punt and placed 29 of 80 inside the 20-yard line." - Athlon Sports
