April 20, 2015 - spring specialists
"Taylor Bertolet will have the first crack at retaking the kicking job he forfeited to Josh Lambo in 2013. Competition will be stiff however with Daniel LaCamera arriving to College Station from the 2015 recruiting class. During a 2014 high school practice, LaCamera drilled this 68-yard field goal, showing that he has the leg as well as the accuracy to thrive at the next level. Drew Kaser’s aspirations for this season are to win the Ray Guy Award in his senior season according to A&M coach Jeff Banks. Kaser is known not only for his athletic ability but also the hilarious Kaser for Heisman campaign. Shane Tripucka will likely serve as his backup." - Dallas Morning News

February 5, 2015 - kicker Braden Mann commits for 2016
"Kohl currently has Mann ranked as the No. 2 kicker and No. 3 punter in the nation for class of 2016. The 6-foot, 190-pound Mann was 46-of-48 on extra point attempts and seven for 10 on field goal tries as a junior. He hit a 49-yard field goal in the playoffs against Houston Lamar. Mann also averaged 40.7 yards per punt." - 247Sports

February 4, 2015 - kicker Daniel LaCamera signs
"Semper Fidelis All-American ... possesses a very strong leg and rarely allows a kickoff return chance ... polished placekicker with excellent technique ... solid all-round athlete is very smooth as a placekicker and punter. Coached by Bob Hudson at East Lake High School in Tarpon Springs, Fla. 2014: 13-of-20 FG attempts; 56-of-60 extra points; 39.5 punt average; kicked one field goal of 60+ yards." - Aggies

October 19, 2014 - punter Drew Kaser busy against Alabama
"Junior punter Drew Kaser had a career-high nine boots against the Crimson Tide (previous game high punts was eight vs. Missouri in 2013). He averaged 45.0 yards, put one punt inside the 20 and three 50-yard-plus boots." - WTAW

August 5, 2014 - kicker Josh Lambo out with tweak
"Taylor Bertolet has kicked the field goals so far during Texas A&M’s camp, and now we know why. Josh Lambo, who snagged the starting job from Bertolet last season, said after practice on Tuesday that he’s been nursing a 'tweaked groin' and is making sure he’s healed properly in time for the season. Lambo added that he’s close to '100 percent.' A&M opens up its season on Aug. 28 at SEC foe South Carolina. Lambo, a former Major League Soccer goalie, made 8 of 10 field goals, and 50 of 51 extra points after taking over for an inconsistent Bertolet (who still handled kickoffs). Bertolet has excelled so far during the first four days of camp, however, and the kicking gig is considered open going into the South Carolina contest." - Houston Chronicle

July 16, 2014 - summer specialists
"Place Kicker Contenders: Josh Lambo (Jr.); Taylor Bertolet (Jr.); Dillon Moore (RS Fr.); Cody Wicker (RS Fr.) - After Bertolet started the season in less than stellar fashion, missing both extra-points and field goals, it was time for the former MLS goalkeeper to show his worth. Lambo became an instant celebrity around Texas A&M after his game-winning kick against Ole Miss. After being a walk-on looking for a shot, he is now the solidified starter with Bertolet taking kickoffs. Lambo was 8-of-10 in his field goal attempts and missed one extra-point try in 2013.
Punter Contenders: Drew Kaser (Jr.); Shane Tripucka (RS Fr.) - A Ray Guy Award finalist last season, Kaser is once again on the watch list for the award. He didn’t have many chances to punt the ball considering all the times A&M seems to score in Kevin Sumlin’s offense. But when he did he made the most of it." - Dallas Morning News

June 24, 2014 - kicker Daniel LaCamera commits
"East Lake kicker Daniel LaCamera has committed to Texas A&M, Eagles coach Bob Hudson said Tuesday. LaCamera will likely handle kickoffs and punts for the Aggies. Last year, LaCamera was 74-of-79 on PATs and 7-of-14 on field-goal attempts. Of his 101 kickoffs, 80 were touchbacks. He was just as strong as a punter, with a 37.8 average, including six inside the 20." - Tampa Bay Times

May 14, 2014 - new practice goal posts
"The Texas A&M field goal and extra-point kicking has been overlooked in recent years due to the hype and popularity of Johnny Manziel. While the Aggies found reliability in former MLS goalie Josh Lambo, the position wasn’t always as consistent. Lambo had a 98-percent completion rate on extra-point attempts and an 80-percent rate on field goals in 2013. He supplanted Taylor Bertolet early in the season after Bertolet missed three extra-point tries and a field goal. That’s why the Texas A&M staff has decided to improve all of it’s kickers accuracy and install Arena Football League goalposts. The goalposts in arena football are only 9 feet wide which will force A&M’s kickers to place their kicks in a tighter window." - Dallas Morning News
