November 8, 2014 - Thomas Martin kicks game winner over Colgate
"Thomas Martin's 31-yard field goal as time expired lifted the Lafayette College football team to a 19-16 win Saturday at Colgate's Andy Kerr Stadium. The Leopards (4-6, 2-3 Patriot League) began the game-winning drive at their own 24-yard line with 1:14 left in regulation. The fifth play moved them into Raider territory, a 37-yard pass from Blake Searfoss to Justin Adams. Searfoss followed up with two short passes to Ross Scheuerman to move the ball down to the Colgate 14-yard line, where Lafayette called a timeout with three seconds remaining to set up Martin's kick. The Raiders (4-6, 2-2 PL) had built a 16-0 lead midway through the third quarter before the Leopards stormed back." - Lehigh Valley Live

September 29, 2014 - Forrester punts, Martin kicks, Gralish returns
Ryan Forrester was probably wondering why the punter would be asked to meet with the media following Lafayette's 35-23 victory over Wagner on Saturday night. After all, all he did was kick the ball away nine times. But the fact is that Forrester, who had his problems as the fill-in placekicker for the Leopards the previous week against William & Mary, played a big role in the game on Saturday, averaging 41.9 yards per kick and putting three of them inside the 20-yard line. After having a game in which he had an extra point blocked and returned for a two-point defensive PAT, missed another PAT and also missed a field goal, Forrester was relieved of the placekicking duty, replaced by freshman Thomas Martin, who before Saturday night had done only kickoff duty — 13 of them in the first three games — since coming to college. Forrester had no problem turning over the placekicking to Martin, saying after the game, 'It's a lot easier to focus on one aspect of the kicking game. With [Ryan] Gralish out [because of a suspension], I stepped up and I tried my best, but punting is definitely my strong suit. It's a lot easier to focus on one motion. I really enjoy punting a lot more than kicking, too'.... Gralish's four-game suspension is now ended and he can return this week. Coach Tavani said, 'There'll be a competition [for placekicking duty] this week. As I told Gralish, he's going to have to battle. But he has been kicking and he's looking the best he's looked, but it's just practice'." - The Morning Call

September 23, 2014 - Thomas Martin to kick until Ryan Gralish returns
"Lafayette College will have a new placekicker for Saturday's non-league game with Wagner at Fisher Stadium (6 p.m.). Freshman Thomas Martin will take over the placekicking in addition to kickoffs, head coach Frank Tavani announced at Tuesday's weekly media luncheon. Sophomore Ryan Forrester, the Leopards' punter, had been doing the kicker with regular kicker Ryan Gralish suspended until Oct. 3. But Forrester struggled with his kicking in last Saturday's loss to William & Mary with a missed field goal and extra point as well as a blocked extra point, all in the first half....  'We decided to relieve Ryan of the kicking duties, that was not really fair to him, and he can focus on punting,' Tavani said. Gralish, who has been impressive in practice, will be eligible to return Oct. 3 in the Leopards' Patriot League opener at Fordham after his four-game suspension for violating athletic department rules." - Lehigh Valley Live
