San Diego Toreros Kicker, Punter & Snapper News

March 14, 2015 - kicker Daniel McManus
"The Toreros are breaking in a new kicker after David Last (12-of-12 on field goals in 2014) opted not to return for his final year of eligibility. Rising sophomore Daniel McManus has the inside track on kicking duties, and he was 4-of-6 on field goals in the Toreros’ scrimmage. He pulled a 50-yarder and a 34-yarder wide. Lindsey said McManus has 'as good a leg as I’ve seen while I’ve been here) but that he wants the West Hills alum to work on his touch. When he tries to kill the ball, he’s all over the place,' Lindsey said. 'When he just swings his leg nice and easy, he’s got distance and he’s got accuracy. The big thing with him is his accuracy'."- Union-Tribune

July 7, 2014 - kicker David Last named to watch list
"Last (Valley Center, Calif.) has earned a spot on the 2014 CFPA Placekicker Award Watch List, as announced by College Football Performance Awards.... This past season Last connected on 10-of-12 field goals (83.3%) and 54-of-57 PAT kicks and ranked first on the team in scoring (84 points). He was tabbed the PFL Special Teams player of the week (Oct. 13th) after kicking the game-winning field goal with no time left on the clock in the team's 35-33 win over Marist." - Toreros
