September 1, 2015 - Autumn specialists
"Senior punter Brian Akialis earned 2015 Preseason All-Pioneer Football League honors after being named second-team All-PFL as a punter in 2014. He helped the Bulldogs lead the PFL and rank among the 'Top 10' teams in the NCAA Division I FCS in punt return defense. He averaged 36.9 yards per punt on 68 attempts for a total of 2511 yards with a long kick of 59 yards. Senior kicker Jonathan Treloar returns to handle the place-kicking duties. A season ago, he converted 6-of-9 field goal attempts (66.7%), connecting on a long of 49 yards. He also connected on 31-of-34 extra point attempts (91.0%) to finish second on the team in scoring with 49 points. Redshirt junior kicker/punter Ian Dobek will handle the kick-off duties as well as serve as the back-up to both Akialis and Treloar for their respective duties. Dobek was named to the PFL Academic Honor Roll in 2012-2014. Redshirt freshman kicker/punter Evan Giebel and freshman kicker/punter Josh Bagger also provide depth at the position.... Sophomore DL Connor Andras, who spends most of his time on the defensive line, will handle long-snapping duties. Freshman Kevin Gilbert joins the 2015 roster as a long-snapper as well. Redshirt senior quarterback Matt Shiltz will hold." - Indiana Sports Report

"Coach Jeff Voris also can call on his top placekicker and top punter of last season. Senior placekicker Jon Treloar finished second on the team in scoring with 49 points in 2014, while senior punter Brian Akialis led the team in punting with a 36.9 average." - Indiana Sports Report

September 24, 2014 - kicker Jon Treloar
"Junior Jon Treloar was perfect on five PAT kicks and one field goal attempt (25 yards) against Taylor.  Treloar ranks second in the PFL in kick scoring (5.7 ppg). He boosted his career total for PAT kicks to 95.  He's 19 PAT's shy of Butler's career record, held by John Jenkins (1985-88). He remained perfect on three field goal attempts this season with his 25-yarder against Taylor.  He's one of 18 players nationally without a miss in 2014." - Bulldogs

September 3, 2014 - returning specialists
"Butler head coach Jeff Voris won't have to worry about experience in his kicking game with the return of 2013 starters Jon Treloar, Brian Akialis and Ian Dobek.  Treloar emerged as a consistent scoring threat while handling Butler's placekicking duties last season.  He connected on 54 of 58 (93.1%) PAT kicks, and he hit nine of 11 (81.8%) field goal attempts.  The left-foot kicker finished second on the team in scoring with 81 points, while setting school single game (9) and single season (54) records for PAT kicks.  Akialis, who also saw time at wide receiver, averaged 37.0 yards on 59 punts for the Bulldogs, while Dobek averaged 51.4 yards on 78 kickoffs.  Dobek enters the 2014 campaign as Butler's top back-up at both punter and placekicker." - Bulldogs
