June 2, 2015 - roster update
"With the next FIFA World Cup qualifying odyssey set to begin for Canada’s Men’s National Team, Head Coach Benito Floro has named his 23-man squad that will look to get things off on the right foot with a home-and-away series against Dominica. As Canada enters the second CONCACAF Preliminary Round of qualifying for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ against one of the smaller countries in the region, Floro has included plenty of familiar names for a Canada squad that isn’t short on experience with the likes of Atiba Hutchinson, Julian de Guzman, and the return of midfielder Will Johnson. One newcomer to the Canadian fold for this camp and games is forward Tesho Akindele, who plays for FC Dallas in Major League Soccer." - Canada Soccer

March 30, 2015 - Ricketts, Edwini-Bonsu & Larin score in win over Puerto Rico
"Tosaint Ricketts scored late in the first half and Canada’s Men’s National Team added two more in the second half as they wrapped up their March camp with a convincing 3:0 victory over Puerto Rico on Monday night at the Estadio Juan Roman Loubriel in Bayamon, PUR. Second half substitutes Randy Edwini-Bonsu and Cyle Larin each scored their first senior international goals for Canada, as they were never really troubled in their defensive end in front of very vocal Puerto Rican supporters.... In the 42nd minute, they got the goal they deserved as defender David Edgar slid a nice pass to Maxim Tissot on the left side. He then crossed to Ricketts who faked a defender and scored his eighth career goal at the senior level. Edwini-Bonsu was introduced into the game at the start of the second half and 15 minutes later he doubled Canada’s advantage. Karl W. Ouimette brought the ball to the edge of the Puerto Rico penalty and then fed Edwini-Bonsu a pass that allowed him to skip past a defender and coolly slot the ball into the corner with his left foot. Five minutes after the second goal, Larin was introduced and about 12 minutes after coming on, he got Canada’s third. Having seen a shot blocked on the line moments earlier, Larin was in the right spot to bang in a cross from the right side from close range." - Canada Soccer

September 9, 2014 - Edgar, de Jong & Ricketts score in win over Jamaica
"Canada’s men’s national team scored three unanswered goals to overhaul a one-goal deficit and register a 3:1 win over Jamaica in a men’s international friendly on Tuesday night at BMO Field in Toronto. Kemar Lawrence had given Jamaica the lead but one minute after going down, Canada responded through David Edgar before taking control in the second half and picking up goals by Marcel de Jong and Tosaint Ricketts. Lawrence had given Jamaica the lead in the 30th minute when his left-footed free kick went up and over the Canadian wall and into the corner to the left of Canadian goalkeeper Milan Borjan. Borjan managed to get a hand to it but it wasn’t enough. About a minute later, Canada responded right away as, in a move right off the training ground, Edgar got on the end of a Patrice Bernier corner kick and volleyed home a stunner from outside the 18-yard box to quickly level matters.... In what was a carbon copy to the Jamaican goal, de Jong swung in a left-footed free kick that left Jamaican goalkeeper Andre Blake rooted to the spot as he could only watch helplessly as the ball found the corner in the 68th minute. In what was a more workmanlike goal than the previous two, Canada got their insurance in the 73rd minute when Simeon Jackson let a shot go on the rush from the right-hand side. Blake was handcuffed by the shot and couldn’t hold the ball and Ricketts was there to smash the ball into the empty goal." - Canada Soccer
