Ibrahima Traore grabbed a stunning equaliser as Guinea held Cameroon 1-1 in the African Nations Cup on Saturday, continuing a remarkable sequence of draws in Group D.... Benjamin Moukandjo gave Cameroon the lead in the 13th minute when he scored direct from a corner although his low ball to the near post was helped into the net by goalkeeper Naby Yattara. The French-born 27-year-old, currently playing for Trabzonspor in Turkey, was part of French coach Michel Dussuyer's 23-man squad for the 17 January to 8 February continental extravaganza in Equatorial Guinea. November 19, 2014 - Ibrahima Traore & Seydouba Soumah score in win over Uganda
"Guinea have beaten a ten-man Uganda 2-0 in Morocco and qualified for the 2015 Africa Nations Cup finals along with Ghana. Guinea’s goals came from Ibrahima Traore and Seydouba Soumah while Uganda had Andrew Mwesigwa sent off for a professional foul that led to a penalty goal.... Then, on 22 minutes, Seydouba Soumah won a free kick on the edge of the danger area and Guinea’s dangerous winger Traore slotted home with a curling attempt to make it 1-0.... Guinea brought themselves back into contention to qualify for the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations with a stunning 4-1 win away to Togo on Saturday.... Guinea broke the deadlock just past the midway point of the first half, with Idrissa Sylla finding the back of the net to make it 1-0 to the away side. It then became the Seydouba Soumah show, with the former Ajax Cape Town and University of Pretoria player scoring a hat trick to make it 4-0. He netted in the 40th, 59th and 65th minutes. "A 10-man Guinea national team managed to register a 2-1 win over Togo in a 2015 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifier played on the neutral ground of Casablanca, Morocco on Friday evening. The victory takes them top of Group E before Ghana hosts the Uganda Cranes on Saturday in Kumasi.
