Robert Morris Eagles Kicker, Punter & Snapper News

October 3, 2015 - Connor Shennan kicks game winner over Wagner
"Junior Connor Shennan connected on a 19-yard field goal with 24 seconds remaining to lift the Robert Morris University football team to a come-from-behind, 9-6, victory over Wagner in each team's Northeast Conference opener on a blustery day at Wagner College Stadium.... Robert Morris took over on its own 33-yard line with 4:24 remaining with the game still tied. Brown hit Buss for a 13-yard completion on the first play before the rookie QB took things into his own hands with his legs. On the next seven plays, Brown rushed for first downs four times, contributing 37 yards overall, as he helped move the ball into the red zone. On second-and-goal, Blake nearly found the end zone with a rush but came up inches short. It proved to be no matter as Shennan hit a 19-yarder in the final minute after waiting out a long delay." - Eagles

September 28, 2015 - kicker Connor Shennan named NEC Special teams Player of the Week
"Shennan was sensational when called upon at No. 6 South Dakota State. The junior placekicker connected on a career-long field goal, made his only PAT attempt and effectively handled kickoff duties. Shennan accounted for the Colonials’ first points of the game, drilling a 46-yard field goal attempt to cut the deficit to 7-3 in the opening seconds of the second quarter. The kick was one of the 10-longest conversions in RMU history. Shennan boomed two of his three kickoffs out of the end zone for touchbacks. The lone returnable kickoff resulted in a SDSU drive start at the 18-yard line. Shennan has boomed more than half of his kickoffs for touchbacks this season and is a perfect 11-for-11 on PATs." - NEC

September 20, 2014 - Josh Techeira kicks game winner over Saint Xavier
"The Robert Morris Football team celebrated its 2014 home opener with a 27-24 upset victory over 10th ranked Saint Xavier University.... At this point,   RMU Head Coach Jared Williamson put the ball in his star running back's hands and Wims carried eight straight plays, bringing the ball to the Saint Xavier 23-yard line with just 36 seconds to go.  Williamson called on kicker Josh Techeira to attempt a 40-yard field goal and the junior kicker from Midlothian nailed it to put RMU up 27-24.  The Cougars got the ball back with 32 seconds to play but the RMU defense shut down any chance of a game winning drive and clinched the upset win.... Besides the game winning 40-yard field goal, Josh Techeira also had a good day at the office averaging 45.4 yards per punt and also hitting a 20-yard field goal." - Eagles
