March 29, 2015 - Claudiu Keseru scores in win over Faroe Islands
Romania continued their impressive run but were well short of their scintillating best as a Claudiu Keseru goal earned them a laboured 1-0 victory over Group F underdogs Faroe Islands in their Euro 2016 qualifier in Ploiesti on Sunday....  Faroe Islands keeper Gunnar Nielsen was beaten in the 21st minute when Alexandru Maxim's deflected free-kick hit the post and Keseru reacted quickly to slam home the rebound -- his fourth goal in as many internationals." - Eurosport

November 18, 2014 - Claudio Keseru scores brace in win over Denmark
"Claudio Keseru grabbed two superb second-half goals to earn Romania a comfortable 2-0 win over Denmark in a friendly at the National Arena on Tuesday. After a tight first half the home side exploded into life when Keseru showed excellent technique to control substitute Alexandru Chipchiu's precise pass and round keeper Stephan Andersen to score in the 53rd minute. The striker took his tally to 22 goals in all competitions this season when he gave Andersen no chance with a thunderous shot from 20 metres six minutes later." - Daily Mail

November 14, 2014 - Paul Papp scores brace in win over Northern Ireland
"A second-half brace from Paul Papp gave Romania a well-deserved 2-0 victory over Northern Ireland in their Euro 2016 Group F qualifier in Bucharest.... As the second half wore on, Romania continued to have the better of possession, and their advantage finally told in the 74th minute when a cross from the left-hand side found Paul Papp, who powered the ball into the top corner from 10 yards out. Just five minutes later, Romania doubled their advantage as Papp picked up his second, sneaking his way through the defence to head a back post cross in from close range." - Yahoo

October 14, 2014 - Bogdan Stancu scores brace in win over Finland
"Finland 0-2 Romania: Bogdan Stancu hit both goals for the visitors who secured the three points in Helsinki to move above the hosts into second in Group F.... The vistitors came out strongly after the restart and the game swung decisively their way within two minutes. In the 54th, Stancu took off to meet Lucian Sânmărtean's corner and planted a powerful header into the net to break the deadlock, before Alexander Ring picked up his second yellow moments after to reduce Finland to ten men....  Mixu Paatelainen threw on forwards Joel Pohjanpalo and Eero Markkanen in search of an equaliser but numbers told in the end and Romania added a second with seven minutes to go. September 7, 2014 - Ciprian Marica scores in win over Greece
"Romania edged out Greece in their opening Group F encounter thanks to a penalty from captain Ciprian Marica this evening. Marica put his side ahead on ten minutes when he confidently sent Orestis Karnezis the wrong way from the spot after Alexandru Chipciuon was tripped in the box. However Marica went from hero to villain as he was sent off for a second bookable offence just eight minutes into the second half. The game, which was a repeat of last summer’s World Cup playoff which was won by Greece, was played behind closed doors as punishment for previous crowd disturbances at Greece’s fixtures." - Greek Reporter
