"Uganda stunned Ghana at Namboole Stadium with a crucial win that revived an Africa Nations Cup campaign that had started to crumble. The Black Stars came into Saturday’s clash without their talismanic captain Asamoah Gyan featuring on the squad, but they still exhibited a dominant foreign-based starting lineup which pushed their East African hosts on the very edge of a pulsating encounter. Farouq Miya grabbed the third. Massa's goal was his fifth in his last five home games, while Ssentamu was netting for the first time since introducing himself to the continent in the January/February Chan in South Africa." - Super Sport

September 10, 2014 - Geoffrey Massa scores brace in 2-0 win over Guinea
"The Cranes dispatched a tricky Guinea side, with goals from Massa –both goals a product of class and efficiency... It was not long before Cranes took the lead. Massa, who has now scored four goals in the current campaign, read Luwagga’s cross from the left before helping Cranes to a deserved lead. Although Aucho failed to take advantage of Godfrey Walusimbi’s well-weighted cross in one of Cranes’ few counterattacks, Massa plunged Guinea further into their graveyard with the second after feeding off Kizito’s through pass against the run of play. He beat Guinea’s offside trap, took care of team captain Kamil Zayatte before thumping into the top right corner past Guinea goalkeeper Naby Moussa Yattara." - New Vision
