February 4, 2015 - kicker Conner Pals signs
"Creston/O-M all-state kicker Conner Pals signed a National Letter of Intent Wednesday to play for the Division II Concordia-St. Paul Golden Bears.... Pals had an outstanding senior season, going 6-of-9 on field goals with an Iowa 2014 longest of 52 yards at Greene County of Jefferson. That was the second-longest in Creston football history, trailing only a 56-yarder by Kevin Downey in 1975. It is also tied for 31st longest in Iowa history. Pals also hit 59 of 63 extra points (93.7 percent) and ranked fourth in Class 3A with 22 touchbacks on kickoffs. He made all six extra points in the Panthers’ thrilling 50-49 overtime playoff quarterfinal victory, which earned the program’s first trip to the UNI-Dome." - Ceston News Advertiser

October 25, 2014 - Tom Obarski kicks 56 yard tying & 42 yard winner over Upper Iowa
"Concordia-St. Paul (2-6 NSIC, 1-3 South) held on for a 37-34 overtime victory over Upper Iowa (5-3 NSIC, 1-3 South) on Saturday afternoon despite leading 31-10 at the half. Senior kicker/punter Tom Obarski tied his own school record for the fourth time by hitting three field goals in the game, including the game-tying and game-winning field goals. He's now made 15 on the season, breaking the single season record of 13 set by Steven King in 2009. He's now made 41 in his career, extending a record he came into the season with. His big day was supplemented by a 41.0 punting average on seven punts and three kickoff touchbacks on seven kickoffs.... Although Obarski missed the regulation game winner, the Concordia defense held the Peacocks to a 3-and-out on the opening drive of overtime and UIU kicker Tim Rueb missed his first field goal attempt of the day from 39 yards after making two earlier. The Rueb miss set-up another shot for Obarski as he converted from 42 yards out for the overtime victory. Obarski's miss was just the second of the season and snapped a string of 14-straight makes. His game-tying field goal was from 56-yards, which ties the second longest of his career as his first-ever field goal for the Golden Bears was from 56-yards at Minot State in 2011. He's also converted from 59 yards as a sophomore in 2012 against Augustana." - Golden Bears

October 2, 2014 - kicker/punter Tom Obarski
"Senior Tom Obarski is rewriting Concordia's kicking and punting record book. He already has the longest field goal in program history at 59 yards (sophomore vs Augustana) and has made four 50-plus yard field goals. He holds career records for field goals made (33) and punting yards (7,125), is second in PAT kicks made (101) and yards per punt (38.7) and sixth in total points scored (200) and just 36 points shy of the record for most points scored by a kicker (Brody Johnson, 236). He leads the league in field goals made (7) and percentage (87.5%), is third among kickers in scoring (7.8) and is fifth in punting average (38.4). He's also the only kicker perfect in PAT's (10-10). He's been an All-NSIC First Team punter (2013) and an All-NSIC Honorable Mention kicker (2012) in his career while earning Fred Mitchell Award watch list or monthly honors in all four seasons." - Golden Bears
