June 20, 2015 - Luis scores brace in win over Seychelles
"Mozambique put one foot in the next round of qualifiers for the 2016 African Nations Championship (CHAN) with a convincing 5-1 home win over Seychelles on Saturday afternoon.... Mozambique had to wait until the 32nd minute to break the deadlock, with Luis finding the back of the net to put his side on course for victory, and it took just three more minutes before Reinaldo doubled their advantage. A further goal before half time and another strike from Luis in the 49th minute put the Mambas 4-0 ahead, before Seychelles scored a consolation goal in the 70th, followed by the hosts’ fifth in the 73rd to complete the scoring." - African Football

May 25, 2015 - penalty kicks provide win over Malawi
"Mozambique booked the final spot in the Cosafa Cup semi-finals following a penalty shootout win against Malawi at the Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace on Monday night. The Mambas won 5-4 on penalties after a 2-2 draw in the 90 minutes. Mozambique took the lead just 10 minutes in after Flames captain Luckly Malata sliced a clearance past his own goalkeeper and into the back of the net. Malawi levelled just after the break when Muhammad Sulumba headed home from a corner-kick, before Lambikani Mzava netted what looked like the winning goal from the spot two minutes from time. However, he went from hero to zero soon after when he put the ball into his own net with virtually the last kick of the game." - Kickoff

October 11, 2014 - Kito & Reginaldo Faite score in win over Cape Verde
"A fired-up Mozambique picked up their first win of the 2015 African Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifiers when they beat Cape Verde 2-0 at the Estádio da Machava, Matola, on Saturday afternoon.... Making the victory on Saturday all the more impressive for Mozambique was that they had to do so without key men Mario and Jojo, both of whom missed the game through injury. After a tight opening half in Matola, the hosts were to strike the crucial first blow when Kito netted just three minutes before the halftime break. The advantage was extended to two when Reginaldo Faite scored on the hour mark, the Mambas able to hold on for a crucial three points." - Super Sport
