September 8, 2015 - Robert Berić scores in win over Estonia
"Slovenia 1-0 Estonia. Robert Berić scored his first goal for Slovenia to help his side overtake the visitors in Group E and put them on course for the play-offs.... Slovenia eventually responded with attempts from Branko Ilič, Valter Birsa and Kevin Kampl, the last mentioned elicited a lunging save from Aksalu. The pressure finally paid off in the 63rd minute when Birsa cut the Estonian defence open with a precise through pass to Berič, who waltzed beyond Karol Mets and sent a low strike into the corner to register his first goal for his country." - UEFA

March 27, 2015 - lots of kicks in 6-0 win over San Marino
"Slovenia made light work of San Marino to stay second in UEFA EURO 2016 qualifying Group E, setting a new national record for the country's biggest win in the process....Josip Iličić showed how it should be done in the tenth minute, marking his return to the squad after a six-month absence. Valter Birsa split the defence with a pinpoint pass and Iličić rounded Elia Benedettini to slot into the empty net.... The floodgates quickly opened in the second period, however. Kevin Kampl curled the ball into the bottom corner beautifully from the edge of the area to double the lead within four minutes of the resumption, and less than 60 seconds later it was 3-0, Novakovič setting up Andraž Struna for his first international goal. Struna quickly returned the favour, crossing to present Novakovič with a simple header. Dejan Lazarevič was next to open his Slovenia account, slicing through the Sanmarinese rearguard to net from an angle in the 73rd minute. With two minutes remaining Branko Ilič also got his first goal for his country, nodding in Birsa's corner to wrap up Slovenia's record win."- UEFA

October 12, 2014 - Milivoje Novakovic scores brace in win over Lithuania
"Milivoje Novakovic's first-half double gave Slovenia a 2-0 European Championship qualifying win in Lithuania. The Shimizu S-Pulse striker notched twice in five minutes to decide a match in which his side were deserving winners.... Lithuania suffered a double blow shortly after the half-hour, losing Mindaugas Panka to injury before falling a goal behind. The ball was played in to Nejc Pecnik on the edge of the box and he set up Novakovic, who took a touch before lifting a deft finish over Arlauskis. And the second arrived just four minutes later when Kevin Kampl crossed and from close range, Novakovic beat Arlauskis at the second attempt." - Sky Sports 

October 9, 2014 - Milivoje Novakovic scores in win over Switzerland
Milivoje Novakovic’s penalty gave Slovenia a smash-and-grab 1-0 home win over Switzerland in their Euro 2016 qualifier after the visitors were frustrated by superb goalkeeping from Samir Handanovic. Novakovic drilled in the spot-kick in the 79th minute, after Johan Djourou brought down substitute Kevin Kampl with a clumsy challenge, to give Slovenia the lead against the run of play." - The Telegraph
