May 14, 2015 - punter/kicker Zach Feddeler signs
"Zach Feddeler, the punter and kicker for the [Lakeland Dreadnaughts] football team, signed with Wheaton College in Chicago. Lakeland coach Bill Castle called Feddeler the best punter he's had in his years of coaching. Feddeler averaged 35.1 yards per punt and made 52 of 55 extra points." - The Ledger

October 25, 2014 - Sam Cote kicks game winner over North Central
"The #11-Thunder football team emerged with a dramatic 34-31 victory against #12-ranked North Central on Saturday night at McCully Stadium in the Battle for the Little Brass Bell. Wheaton earned the victory in tonight's tightly contested matchup on a 29-yard field goal by Thunder senior Sam Cote as time expired, breaking a 31-31 tie.... Wheaton continued to run the ball, getting the pigskin to the North Central 12-yard line. A timeout by each team with three seconds remaining set up Cote's 29-yard field goal attempt that made it through the uprights to give Wheaton is first win at home against North Central since 2006. October 13, 2014 - kicker/punter Sam Cote earns weekly CCIW honors
"Senior Sam Cote has been named the CCIW Special Teams Player of the Week as announced by the conference on Monday afternoon. This is the fifth time in his career that Cote has won the conference's Special Teams Player of the Week award. He earned the honor three times in 2013 (11/4/13, 10/21/13 and 9/16/13) and once in 2012 (10/29/12). Cote, a senior punter/kicker for the Thunder accounted for eight of Wheaton's 20 points during a 20-13 win at Augustana last Saturday. His 25-yard field goal in the first half gave the Thunder a 3-0 lead and his 27-yard field goal in the third quarter tied the game at 13-13. He also had a season-long 55-yard punt that was fumbled by the Vikings and resulted in a Wheaton touchdown two plays later to give the Thunder a 20-13 lead. Cote has made six of his 11 field goal attempts this season, including a season-long of 38 yards in wins against Coe and Kalamazoo. He also has 22 punts this season, with an average of 35.2 yards per punt, including six inside the 20-yard line. His average of 7.0 points per game is ranked second among all kickers in the CCIW and his six field goals leads the conference. In his four seasons with the Thunder, Cote has made 26 field goals. He has a total of 104 pount for 3840 yards, averaing 36.9 yards per punt in his tenure." - Thunder
