"Coach Boulware was also pleased with kicker Will Johnson, who made three of four field-goal attempts, including a 54-yarder. 'Couple of crosswinds — he judged it up just right and put it through the uprights,' he said." - Winston-Salem Journal

"It’s good that place-kickers Alejandro Suarez and Will Johnson of Winston-Salem are self-starters. The kickers, along with designated long-snapper Reece 'Loco' Barber, don’t have a position coach so they do their practice work on their own. But that doesn’t mean they can slack off, especially this season because the field goal has become a big part of the WSSU offense.'We are kicking field goals a lot more and to us, that’s exciting,' said Suarez, a senior from Liberty who is 7 of 10 on field-goal attempts this season. Suarez also handles the point-after attempts and is 34 of 39 this season. Johnson handles the long field-goal attempts and he has made 3 of 4, including a career-best 48-yarder against Johnson C. Smith.... Johnson handles the punting duties and his 39.1 average is third in the CIAA. He also handles the kickoffs and has consistently put kicks into the end zone." - Winston-Salem Journal
