Bethel Royals Kicker, Punter & Snapper News

November 3, 2014 - punter Philip Peterson earns weekly MIAC honors
"The Bethel football team outlasted a tough test Saturday, coming from behind in the second half to beat Gustavus 30-23. Junior Philip Peterson (Richfield, Minn.) played a huge role in the win, as the Royals' punter kept tilting the field position against the explosive Gustie offense. For his performance, the MIAC sports information directors honored Peterson Monday with the MIAC Football Special Teams Player-of-the-Week award. Peterson punted six times Saturday for 240 total yards and a great average of 40.0 per punt. His best kick of the day traveled a remarkable 75 yards and was downed at the Gustavus 1-yard-line. That punt was the longest in the MIAC this season by 14 yards. This season, Peterson has punted 27 times for 1,011 total yards and an average of 37.4 yards per punt. He's placed four inside the opponents' 20-yard-line and six have been fair caught." - Royals
