March 25, 2015 - Sloan Privat scores brace in 3-1 win over Honduras
"Sloan Privat, who scored two goals in his Yana Doko debut, has to return to his French club Caen and will miss Sunday's game in San Pedro Sula. Forward Jerry Bengtson, on loan from the New England Revolution to Argentina's Belgrano, gave Honduras the lead in the 17th minute at the Stade Edmard Lama in Remire-Montjoly, but French Guiana went ahead within 10 minutes on goals by captain Marvin Torvic and Privat, who added the insurance goal in the 62nd minute. Privat is one of three first division players recruited by French Guiana's general manager, 1998 World Cup champion Bernard Lama. Twelve of the players in the 25-player squad are based in French Guiana, but most others play in lower divisions in France. Torvic plays in the German fourth division." - Soccer America

November 15, 2014 - Gilles Fabien scores brace in win over Curacao
"Gilles Fabien scored two goals and French Guiana (1-1-1, 4 points) remained alive in the Caribbean Cup finals with a 4-1 win over Curacao (0-0-3, 0 points) on Saturday at the Montego Bay Sports Complex.... In the 18th minute, they went ahead 1-0 as Brian St. Clair netted his second goal of the final round, heading a right-sided cross off the left post and over the line.... With an offense firing on all cylinders, French Guiana doubled its advantage in the 26th minute.  Fabien got loose in the box, feigned to send Pieter to the ground and dribbled left, before slotting home from six-yards out. Nourished by its ruthless approach, French Guiana made 3-0 in the 34th minute.  Niki Adipi found the back of the net after holding off a defender in the box. Fabien completed his brace and a Player of the Match performance in 64th minute, before being replaced by Sylvio Breleur. Though there was no doubt about the final result, Curacao continued to attack and grabbed a consolation goal through Rihairo Meulens with six minutes left in normal time." - CONCACAF

November 11, 2014 - Gabriel Pigree scores late equalizer in draw with Cuba
A goal in time added on from substitute Gabriel Pigree gave French Guiana a precious point in a 1-1 affair against defending champions Cuba in Group A of the CFU Men’s Caribbean Cup Championships today (November 11). Cuba took the lead in the 57th minute when Ariel Pedro Martinez Gonzales shot them into the lead. Gonzales collected a pass that beat the French Guiana backline on the left flank. Breaking into the box, Gonzales coolly chipped the ball ahead of French Guiana goalkeeper Leon Donovan. French Guiana hit back and peppered the Cuban goal with crosses form both wings but had to wait until the last minute of time added on for Pigree to find space in the Cuban area and find the bottom, right-hand corner of the goal.
