Martinique Men's National Soccer Team News

November 16, 2014 - Bedi Buval & Jose Goron score in win over Antigua
Martinique (1-1-1, 4 points, GD -1) scored twice in the second half to post a 2-0 win over Antigua & Barbuda (0-1-2, 1 point) in the 2014 Caribbean Cup finals on Sunday at the Montego Bay Sports Complex.... As the rain tapered off after the break, Martinique applied a heavier foot on the accelerator and went ahead in the 57th minute. An unmarked Bedi Buval found the ball at his feet in the right side of the box, pounding it past a helpless Muhammad from nine-yards out.... Jose Goron finally netted the insurance goal in the 90th minute, slotting home from the middle of the box off Parsemain’s low cross from the left side." - CONCACAF

November 12, 2014 - Yoann Arquin equalizes in draw with Jamaica
"Host Jamaica and Martinique played to a 1-1 draw on Wednesday in the Group B opener for each in the 2014 Caribbean Cup finals at the Montego Bay Sports Complex. Darren Mattocks gave the Reggae Boyz a 1-0 lead in the 13th minute, but Yoann Arquin used his strength to equalize a minute before the half-hour mark. The Jamaicans had a pair of second-half goals disallowed for offside, while Martinique suffered the same fate with the last kick of the game by Dominique Pandor." - CONCACAF

November 7, 2014 - Kevin Parsemain called up
"Though he’s still recovering from the ACL injury that has kept him out of MLS action this season, Seattle Sounders forward Kevin Parsemain will join his native Martinique for the 2014 Caribbean Cup following Monday’s playoff match at CenturyLink. 'At this stage, he’s not ready to play 90 minutes or anything like that,' Schmid said, 'but I think the coach feels he’s an important person in their locker room, just to be with the team'." - Seattle Times
