October 5, 2015 - kicker/punter Desi Villanueva named HAAC Special Teams Player of the Week
"Villanueva received his first weekly conference award after a successful day punting and kicking for the Viking football team in the 61-22 win over Culver-Stockton (Mo.) College.  Villanueva finished with 12 total points.  He made both of his field goal attempts, one from 30-yards and another from 26-yards, and was six of seven in extra-point attempts.  Villanueva also helped the team with his punting, as he finished with an average of 53.3 yards per punt on four punts.  His longest punt was 68 yards.  Villanueva also leads the NAIA in yards per punt average (47.3 yards)." - Vikings

November 22, 2014 - Daniel Mouro kicks OT game winner over Northwestern (IA)
"The No. 5 Missouri Valley College football team hosted No. 12 Northwestern (Iowa) College Saturday at Gregg-Mitchell Field in the 2014 NAIA Football Championship Series First Round.  The Vikings rallied late and eventually knocked off the Red Raiders in double-overtime 20-17.... a fourth down pass attempt fell incomplete, as the Red Raiders ended their second overtime possession with no points. The Vikings handed the ball off to Daniels on three-straight plays, gaining seven yards.  Daniel Mouro lined up a 35-yard field goal attempt, which he made to give Missouri Valley the 20-17 win and put the team into the NAIA FCS Quarterfinals for the third-straight year." - Vikings

November 15, 2014 - Daniel Mouro kicks game winner over Baker
"The No. 7 Missouri Valley College football team wrapped up its 2014 regular season with a trip to Baldwin City, Kan., to play No. 12 Baker (Kan.) University.  The Vikings scored a last-minute field goal to beat Baker 27-24 and in the process win the program’s fourth-straight Heart of America Athletic Conference title and increase its chances of receiving a bid into the NAIA Football Championship Series.... Missouri Valley’s next possession ended in a three-and-out, giving Baker the ball with nearly four minutes to play.  Baker was set up at its own 26-yard line with just under two minutes to play in the game, when Phillips sacked the Baker quarterback and forced a fumble.  The fumble was recovered by Sophomore Linebacker Dario Marquez (Miami, Fla.), and gave MVC the ball at the Baker 24-yard line.  The Vikings picked up eight yards on the next three plays and Daniel Mouro hit a 33-yard field goal to give MVC the late lead at 27-24." - Vikings
