February 25, 2015 - fly half Katy McClean named captain
"World Cup winning fly-half Katy Mclean will captain England in Friday's Six Nations match in Ireland. Mclean resumes her role as skipper with Tamara Taylor named as vice-captain as they prepare to head to Ashbourne RFC for their third match in the current campaign.... Interim England Women's head coach Nicola Ponsford said: 'Katy will take over the captaincy reigns. She has demonstrated over the years, especially during the World Cup, her qualities as a leader and I think that will be vital against Ireland'." - Sky Sports

February 15, 2015 - Katy McClean kicks two conversions & a penalty in win over Italy
Katy Mclean inspired England Women to an important 39-7 victory over Italy at the Twickenham Stoop on her return to the side in the Women's Six Nations. England had the better of the first-half but fell behind to Flavia Severin's try, before hitting back through Alex Matthews and Abbie Scott to lead at the break. Ceri Large extended the lead before Mclean, Hannah Gallagher and Kay Wilson crossed late on as Nicky Ponsford's side condemned Italy to their second consecutive defeat following their opening 30-5 reversal against Ireland. England enjoyed the better of the opening exchanges and were quickly in front, returning fly-half Mclean kicking an easy penalty after four minutes. Mclean should have doubled the lead soon after but dragged another penalty wide as the hosts enjoyed the majority of the early territory and possession." - RBS 6 Nations

February 11, 2015 - fly half Katy Mclean returns
"England Women have made seven changes to the starting line-up, two positional, for  Sunday’s Six Nations clash against Italy at the Twickenham Stoop. England opened their tournament with a disappointing 13-0 defeat to Wales on Sunday but welcome back World Cup-winning fly half Katy Mclean to the starting line-up as Ceri Large moves to inside centre. Mclean, who missed the Six Nations opener as she was playing for England Sevens on the World Series, has been named as vice-captain. Tamara Taylor stays on as skipper." - England Rugby
