April 30, 2015 - spring specialists
"Mike Maw (Jr., White Bear Lake, Minn.) has shown vast improvement at kicker, averaging 52.2 yards per kick with two touchbacks last year. As a field goal kicker, he was 7-of-10 with a long of 43 on the season, improving his range. Maw should have the kicker spot locked down, but will also have some push from Stephen Day (R-Fr., Eveleth, Minn.), who will also get the first look at the punter spot. 'We don’t do a lot of the team aspect with special teams in Spring ball,' Fritze said. 'Mike is a good kicker and we are fortunate to have him. He has worked very hard to improve. Stephen Day is a tremendous kid and hard worker and is working to be the guy at punter'." - Crookston Times
