William Penn Statesmen Kicker, Punter & Snapper News

September 7, 2015 - kicker Samson Tamijani named HAAC Special teams Player of the Week
"Tamijani was perfect with his foot, hitting all six of his extra points in addition to a 21-yard field goal." - Statesmen

August 6, 2015 - kicker Samson Tamijani signs
"Former Sam Rayburn High School placekicker Samson Tamijani has announced that he has signed a football scholarship with William Penn University. Tamijani stated in an email that he made a visit last week to the NAIA school in Oskaloosa, Iowa. During a tryout at their indoor facility, he attempted 12 kicks from 45 yards and closer and converted all 12. That performance apparently gave Tamijani the leading role as the Statesmen’s placekicker and not a minute too soon since the school opens its season in three weeks. Tamijani stated he formally signed a letter of intent on Aug. 1.... Last season, Tamijani averaged 30.47 yards over 36 punts. Only Memorial’s Jesus Dozal had more punts. Offensively, Tamijani kicked nine PATs and one field goal for 12 points." - Pasadena Citizen
